A statement issued by the US Consulate General, Mumbai, said that, the conference will promote reflective and learner-centered pedagogical practices for new teachers and create a mutually supportive group of educators.
The two-day event has been designed to address the needs of these trainee teachers such as managing classrooms more effectively, designing effective activities, and incorporating strategies to make the most of limited classroom time. The conference is intended to empower these trainee teachers in their classrooms, said the statement.
“One of RELO’s objectives is to provide support for educators throughout the region and we are thrilled to have this opportunity to have this group of English Language Fellows share their expertise with up and coming educators in India through this two-day conference,” said U.S. Embassy Regional English Language Officer Maria Snarski.
