SPPU to give Yuva Gaurav Puraskar

PUNE: Savitribai Phule Pune University will recognise young men and women below the age of 40 who have done exceptional work in various fields at national level and award them with ‘Yuva Gaurav Puraskar’. The award will consist of a citation and Rs 25 thousand each.

Awards will be given in five fields namely Arts (includes all forms of arts- performing arts, films, media (TV), internet art – webcast, blogs, web series etc.); Sports; Literature; Research; and Social work.

To be eligible to apply for the award, the candidate should have either a graduate degree or a post-graduate degree from Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). The degree can also be from any of the affiliated colleges in Nashik, Pune and Ahmednagar.

“Nominations are invited by search committees from different educational institutions, ex and present principals and eminent persons in above mentioned fields. Candidates from any of the above mentioned fields can be nominated. SPPU authorities have constituted a Search Committee for this purpose. Nominations can be submitted till 3rd January 2020, 6.00 pm. The scanned copy and word file of the same can be sent by email to the deputy registrar, planning and development section, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune on the email id – [email protected],” said the official notification.

The notification further said that after scrutiny and presentations / interviews, candidates for award will be finalized between 24th and 29th January, 2020. The nomination forms are available on the SPPU website, www.unipune.ac.in
