Nearly 10 lakh students will be appearing for the exams next year. As per the time table, the practical exams are scheduled to be held from February 1 to February 20 across the state. All the theory papers will be held from 9 am to 12 pm.
The ethics and human values examination will be conducted on January 28. Exam for environment education is scheduled to be held on January 30. Officials said that dates for intermediate vocational courses are also the same. However, the time-table will be issued separately by the board.
As per the time-table, first year students have to appear for second language paper on March 4 and the second year students have to appear on March 5. Similarly, first year students will appear for English paper on March 6 and second year students on March 7 respectively.
Examination for part 3 subjects such as Mathematics, Botany, Civics, Psychology, History, Chemistry, Sociology, Geology, Commerce among many others shall commence from March 10. The last paper i.e. modern languages and geography will be held for first year and second year students on March 21 and March 23 respectively.
In view of student suicides following result fiasco earlier this year, the TSBIE has trained over 500 teachers from government and private junior colleges as student counsellors. The TSBIE is conducting an orientation programme for the student counsellors in the city on Saturday.
